Unmasking the alleged Sex-traders in GB Assembly: Journalist to share evidences

Islamabad: A story recently published by the Daily Times about sex-trading of young girls from Gilgit-Baltistan, under the close assistance of few members of the Gilgit-Baltistan assembly has left many shocked. People from different walks of life showed their anger and sadness on social media responding to the story being published. Many people demanded a fair investigation of the story and some have asked to hand the culprits openly.

Faiz Ullah Firaq, Spokesperson of the chief minister Gilgit-Baltistan released a statement after the story went viral on social media platforms. He said that the government will do a fair investigation of the matter.

Firaq also warned the reporter that if he fails to provide reliable evidences, he must be ready to face the consequences of fabricating and maligning the image of GB. The very next day, a local print newspaper had this lead story of chief minister Mr. Hafiz Hafeez-ur-Rehman claiming that the journalist from Daily Times has apologized and this was all a fake and fabricated story.

The whole story got and interesting twist when Mr. Shabbir Siham from the Daily times released a statement on social media condemning the lead story by CM Gilgit-Baltistan. He has said that the local newspapers are publishing false stories in order to please CM and the corrupt officials from the GB legislative assembly.15193578_1265247336829410_5614203318162299074_n


“I am saddened to see the approach of the respondents and I want to tell them all that I am soon going to publish an evidence based story of those play-boy characters in the GB assembly with details of where and when had they spent their nights in Islamabad with girls being sex-traded from Gilgit-Baltistan in the name of awarding scholarships and jobs”, Siham wrote.


“Those who are shocked by my first story, get ready for the second”, he added.

Sources claim that the story cannot be considered wrong at all. There had a similar story running few years back. Many notable ministers from the last government are well-known for their illicit and criminal activities in context of the current theme.

Capt (r) Shafi Khan, Opposition Member from ITP in GBLA, also issued a statement demanding proper investigation of this sensitive matter. “We will raise this imp and sensitive issue, in upcoming session of GBLA to be held from 24th Dec in Gilgit”, he added.
